Behavior
Generally, specimens found in the pet trade are rather large and they are not suitable for small aquariums. At certain times of the year juvenile specimens are available, but bear in mind that they do grow quickly.
It should be noted that flake food alone is not enough to sustain a large Queen Angelfish, and other foods must be provided. As with most large angelfish, the Queen angelfish is not reef safe, but is a fine addition to any large community fish aquarium. These angels are not aggressive with the exception of territorial disputes with other Queen Angelfish. Queen Angelfish are quite hearty and can be expected to live many years under good conditions.
